Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman holds the Honorary Chair in Psychology in the University of California Davis and is the director of its Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited for initiating the modern study of memory recall by eyewitnesses, and the role of children in witnessing. Professor Goodman published widely and has won numerous grants, and has been honored with many national and international distinctions. She has offered advice on policy and research for numerous government agencies and departments from all over the world. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, which include that of Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions of Experimental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is a member of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has been director of three divisions (Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division, American Psychology Law Society as well as Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
